We rescued Jack in 2011 from puppy love pet rescue. He chose my husband Chris right away but soon became my shadow. He has been our fur baby through the loss of our home to Hurricane Sandy, Chris finishing his masters degree, me finishing nursing school, our engagement, the purchase of our first home, and so much more. Jack was in our wedding and wore a doggie tux.
He now has a human brother, Declan. Declan loves giving jack cookies and the two often act like siblings. In 2019 after Declan was born, I suffered a spinal injury; and, in early 2020, after months of bed rest and cat scans, I was told my only option was to have a spinal fusion. I have been unable to work since the injury and am still undergoing physical therapy. Things will never be the same but getting better each day.
Jack has been a huge part of my recovery; he loves to cuddle and never leaves my side. When Jack was diagnosed with inoperable nasal osteosarcoma it was crushing. We were between a rock and a hard place.
We always want the best for our pup but after all of my medical bills and our family surviving on one income his vet bills added up on our credit cards fast. We are so appreciative of you and are forever grateful for the help of the brown dog foundation in making his treatment possible!
